Knoxville Rotary - Knoxville Foundation

The Rotary Club of Knoxville inducts new Paul Harris Fellows, Multi-level Fellows, Major Donors and Paul Harris Society members two or three times each year. Following is an explanation of the various contribution levels and the Paul Harris Society.

Paul Harris Fellow - Anyone who contributes or in whose name is contributed a gift of $1,000 or more to the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International through the Rotary Annual Programs Fund may become a Paul Harris Fellow.

Each new Paul Harris Fellow receives a commemorative certificate, a Paul Harris Fellow pin, and a medallion. Donors are eligible for Paul Harris Fellow recognition when their cumulative giving reaches $1,000.

Paul Harris Fellow Multi-Donors - Those who make additional contributions totaling $1,000 or more, are recognized as Paul Harris Multi-Donors.

Contributors may choose to honor someone else as a Paul Harris Fellow with their Foundation Recognition Points, formerly called "available credit" and the donor will receive a Paul Harris Multi-Donor pin with additional stones.

Recognition levels are determined based on the following guidelines:

$2,000-$2,999                      1 sapphire
$3,000-$3,999                      2 sapphire
$4,000-$4,999                      3 sapphire
$5,000-$5,999                      4 sapphire
$6,000-$6,999                      5 sapphire
$7,000-$7,999                      1 ruby
$8,000-$8,999                      2 rubies
$9,000-$9,999                      3 rubies

Paul Harris Major Donors - The Rotary Foundation recognized those couples or individuals whose combined personal outright or cumulative giving has reached $10,000. All outright contributions made to the Rotary Foundation are included in this total, regardless of the gift designation. TRF recognizes these special donors at six gift levels with diamond pins:

Level One     $10,000                    1 diamond
Level Two     $25,000                    2 diamonds
Level Three   $50,000                    3 diamonds
Level Four     $100,000                  4 diamonds
Level Five      $500,000                  5 diamonds
Level Six       $1 million or greater   6 diamonds

Paul Harris Society - Members of the Paul Harris Society have pledged to contribute at lease $1,000 each year to the Rotary Foundation's Annual Fund. Contributions also count towards Paul Harris Multi-Donor recognition. Each year there are special social event for members of the Paul Harris Society.

Paul Harris Society members are recognized with a brass and blue notched ribbon which goes under the membership pin or Paul Harris pin.

Paul Harris Sustaining Member - The Paul Harris Sustaining Member is an individual who has given, or in whose honor a gift was made, a contribution of $100, with the stated intention of making additional contributions until $1,000 is reached.

How to Become a Benefactor - A Rotary Benefactor is an individual who informs Rotary International in a will or other estate plan, or who has made an outright gift of $1,000 or more to the Rotary Foundation Endowment.
