2025 Local Service Committee Grant Application
The Local Community Service Committee of the Rotary Club of Knoxville is accepting applications for a grant to be awarded to a local community organization for projects, either one- time or ongoing, that will have a positive impact on our community and fit within one of Rotary International’s Seven Areas of Focus: Promoting Peace; Fighting Disease; Providing Clean Water, Sanitation, & Hygiene; Maternal & Child Health; Basic Education & Literacy; Economic & Community Development; and Protecting the Environment. The available awards are:
- A grant of up to $10,000; $5,000 funded by the Rotary Foundation of Knoxville with possible matching funds from Rotary District 6780. An additional application will be required for this grant finalist in January of 2025.
In order to be considered, the proposed projects must fit the Vision and Mission of the Rotary Club of Knoxville, have ample opportunity for Rotary volunteer participation, and benefit as many people as possible.
The project must also have a Rotary member as a champion to coordinate between the committee and the receiving organization. Projects should be in place after July 1, 2025 and will be funded after that date.
Finalists will be asked to present their projects to the Rotary Club of Knoxville at a Tuesday noon Rotary meeting on January 14, 2025, and will be notified of award status by February 1, 2025.
Grant winners will be selected by vote of the membership of the Rotary Club of Knoxville.
