Today we had the pleasure of having Dr. Russ Wigginton from the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis speak to the club.

Tennessee Men’s Basketball Coach Rick Barnes jumped up to the podium today reeling off interesting stories about his thirty-six plus years in coaching and delivered current insights into his players and the lives of young men.

RCK Member Joe McDonald introduced Jen Comiskey, Training Director and Juvenile Court Program Director for the Community Mediation Center. Ms. Comiskey is a graduate of Hendrix College in Arkansas and the University of Tennessee College of Law. She went to law school intending to go into the mediation field. She clearly has a passion for mediation.

Coach Weekly started by saying her husband has retired and has an advisory position with the softball team. That retirement made her the sole head coach. They worked as coaches of the softball team for 20 years at the University of Tennessee.

Standing before the Rotary Club of Knoxville, 22-year-old Ukrainian violin student Marki Lukyniuk, wearing a Ukrainian shirt his grandmother embroidered for him, said, “We thank you for your support of my country. We feel your support.”
